Thanks for visiting! These morons redefine conspiracy theory [YouTube] and wants to break trade ties with India including flyovers by Indian aircraft [via]. So why the hesitation? Living in a state of Pakistan denial can do that to you.
Cricket under attack in Pakistan
The Sri Lankan cricket team was attacked in Lahore injuring 7 players and killing five policemen. Is this the end of international cricket in Pakistan as we know it? Hosting the next World Cup is definitely out; and if it isn’t India should not go to Pakistan even if it is the goddamn final. It [...]
Please Don’t Attack Us
UK has come up with a brilliant anti-terror strategy. I wonder why other countries are spending billions in other measures when all you had to do is ask. Terrorists are reasonable too, right? </snark> I’m wondering if they will be providing other options to ‘vent their anger and frustration’ on.
Pakistan Military Victory?
An editorial in the Urdu daily, Roznama Ausaf, while lauding prime minister Yusuf Raza Gilani’s assertion that Pakistan will give a befitting reply if its sovereignty is threatened, writes, “This is the same country which, despite being militarily weaker, had handed a stunning defeat to a much powerful army” [source].

Problem Nation

Those who bother to listen come away with the impression that this guy knows his stuff and admire his ability to put succinctly (and eloquently) facts that no [...]
‘Border’ battle never happened?
Major General Atma Singh, now retired who won the Vir Chakra for gallantry for his role in the Laungewala battle fought in 1971 now claims that no ground battle was ever fought there and the army merely rehearsed it on a sand model after the ceasefire to cover up the incompetence of military commanders [source]. [...]
The Last Over of Twenty20 World Cup Final
It all came down to this final over in a classic finale to the India-Pakistan clash in the Twenty20 World Cup final. There couldn’t have been a better and fitting end to a great cricket experience. Enjoy it one more time:
Ok! I’ll slink back to my hibernation. Detailed reaction later.
Chat with James Astill
IndiCast’s Abhishek had an informative talk with The Economist’s James Astill:
This week, we chat up with James Astill from ‘The Economist’, the recipient of the annual Gerald R. Ford prize for distinguished reporting in National Defence. Jame’s business card a few months ago read, ‘Defence and Terrorism Correspondent’. Meeting terrorists or “fairly rough characters” [...]
