Pakistan is peeved that U.S.intel chief Negroponte dared to put two and two together by suggesting that most of the Al-Qaeda leadership is holed up in Pakistan (is it even news anymore?)
Of course, Pakistan is not denying the charge but instead complaining that they weren’t told before making the charge public. Instead Pakistani spokeswoman Tasnim Aslam says, “”In breaking the back of al Qaeda, Pakistan has done more than any other country in the world.” Errr…Ms.Aslam, would that have to do with the fact that most of them are in Pakistan. So if Timbuktu hasn’t captured any Al-Qaeda members in the past year, they aren’t fighting the war on terror but Pakistan is?
