What do Islamic terrorists want?

The International Islamic Front established in February 1998 by bin Laden expressed its motto as ‘To unite Muslims, liberate them from non-believers and aggressively expand Islamic faith.’

Al Qaeda says: ‘The manual should be used to train all the Muslim brothers for jihad against India and Hindus. Islamic governments have never and will never be established through peaceful solutions and cooperative councils. They are established as they always have been by pen and gun, by sword and bullet, by tongue and teeth.

‘All the civilisations must clash until Islam is accepted everywhere. Kashmir is nothing more than a gateway to India. Let India bleed by a thousand cuts,’ says Lashkar-e-Tayiba chief Hafiz Mohammed Saeed.

The Students Islamic Movement of India, SIMI, manual states its aim as ‘To achieve Allah’s pleasure through the reconstruction of human life according to the principles given by Allah and his messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.’

The Asian Age newspaper (August 19, 2001) published a letter recovered from a fidayeen in an encounter with security forces deployed for the Amarnath Yatra. The letter reads ‘We are fidayeen. I am a fidayeen and in the name of Allah we will continue to kill and be killed till such time we destroy India and we overcome India’ [source].

If you know, tell me how the hell do we talk sense and make peace with such people? And some other people tend to get pissed when we call such people ‘Islamic fascists’. The terrorists are using Islam to spread their hate so I think we are right in calling them Islamic fascists. Mind you, that doesn’t mean that we are on a war with Islam.

  1. Same Difference Says:

The term Islamic fascists has a right to exist. Most Muslims do not like the term because there is no corresponding Jewish Fascist term to describe Israel’s quest for the Promised Land. Also, unlike popular world view most Muslims are not Arabs, but Indonesians, Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis in roughly that order. Terrorists are fringe elements and people dont like to see their religion attached to them.

The Hindutvawadi parties are frequently described as fascist. But the last time I checked no PM or President referred to the Gujarat 2001 as the problem of Hindu fascism. Rightfully so, because this is an unhelpful description of a problem and heads of state should be careful with their remarks. Such terms may belong to editorials but not to talks by heads of state. But unfortunately Muslims are not Bush’s target audience :) It will be news if Bush calls the illegal occupation and deaths in the West Bank Jewish Terrorism or Fascism. Until then I the Islamic rights group has every reson to be pissed whenever Bush uses Islamic ***** terms.

The quote that you have used from the SIMI manual sounds quite tame in comparision to the others you have quoted. Couldn’t find anything more militant?
