The correlation is clear as the Los Angeles haze — countries that educate women are dumping carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Now, unless you’re crazy enough to think that it’s the CO2 that is causing all those girls to go get themselves an education, I think the implication is obvious: feminism is destroying the planet.
Have you read Gaurav’s latest post on how people often mistake correlation with causation regards reservations? Well, here is another example which is even more ridiculous - women are causing global warming [via]. On the upside, he at least admits that global warming is happening due to humans. But of course before you get all riled up, please take care to notice that the post has been filed under Humor. Well, I just have a ‘Fun and Weird’ category so I guess, I’ll use that.

Pat,
I think you missed the sarcasm there. Mansfield’s book has been ripped apart by reviewers for its obviously sexist agenda. This dude was having some more fun with it.
Falstaff has linked to a review in Newyorker. Such fun!

My dear Confused, of course I was aware of the sarcasm. Take note of the last two sentences of my post. I loved the review that Falstaff had linked to.

I loved the ”my dear” bit :)
It so much more fun to tell someone you are wrong by starting with my dear..
I always use that technique. :)

Confused, LOL! that “my dear” bit has infuriated many people though but it always works.

Don’t forget the two most famous people to use the ‘my dear’ term - Sherlock Holmes (”It was very superficial, my dear Watson, I assure you”) and Hercule Poirot (though he said it in French - Mon Cher)
so you are in good company :-)

The headline of this post hurts my religious sentiment, and I demand that you change it. I, like all followers of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, KNOW FOR A FACT that global warming has been caused by a decline in the number of pirates, and not women or feminism.
I demand an official apology from You, the President of your University, the Governor of Texas, George Bush, and also… Karan Johar.

Bongo, that certainly reassures me :)
Gaurav, now now…In the words of Andaz Apna Apna, Karan Johar pe mat ja….nahi..ja..ja.
